For our Spring 2011 concert, we will be singing:

Ein Deutsches Requiem
by Johannes Brahms
(To be sung in English)

And

Agnus Dei
by Samuel Barber

One of the best things about The Monadnock Chorus is the wide variety of music we have the opportunity to sing and perform. Our range includes major classical works and requiems, folk songs, modern works, hymns, spirituals, and more! There is always something for everyone. Most members are quick to acknowledge that it is wonderful and unique to have the opportunity to sing such beautiful works of music. We also learn more about music with every season. In 1997, the Chorus commissioned a special work by MacDowell Fellow, John David Earnest. This piece was set to a poem written by a member of the Monadnock Chorus. It was performed by the Chorus in Carnegie Hall in 1998.

Here are just a few of the works we have sung in the past:

Mass in C Major  Beethoven
Te Deum, Ave Maria  Bruckner
Lord Nelson Mass, Theresienmesse  Haydn
Gloria, Magnificat  Vivaldi
Magnificat  Rutter
