We Can't Do What We Do Without You

The Monadnock Chorus obtains its financial support from member dues, concert ticket sales, and private and corporate donations. In the past, we have received the generous support from the New Hampshire Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Goyette Fund, the Boote Fund, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and other cultural grants and special fund-raising events.

Only 52% of our annual income comes from member dues, ticket sales and chamber singers concerts.  With only 16% coming from grants, we rely on individual and corporate doantions to provide the remaining 32% to fund our performance season. 

Why support the Monadnock Chorus?

Members and Audience:  At 52 years old, the Monadock Chorus is the oldest chorus in all of Southern New Hampshire!  In fact, we have even been around longer than the revered Tanglewood Fesitval Chorus!  Our 90-member, all volunteer community chorus and audiences span multiple generations and musical experience.  We perform large choral works that are usually not heard in a small town environment.  Your support will help us carry this grand tradition into the future.

Community:  We have a proud history of reaching out to our community, beyond our annual concerts.  Our goals for the 2010-2011 season and beyond are to bring new Education and Outreach programs to the local schools, and reduce music costs for students.  Our auditioned chamber ensemble, the Monadnock Chorus Chamber Singers, is the centerpeice of our community outreach.  For a minimal stipend, or in some cases for no charge, they give high quality performances in meeting houses, churches, nursing homes and other public venues.

Our Board:  Every member of the Board of Directors donates to the chorus.  This 100% participation level is critical.  We lead by example.
